These positions will be based at the development laboratories in Felling, Gateshead. The roles will involve screening new coatings technologies and developing concepts that may be applicable to future products. It is envisaged that a variety of technologies will be evaluated by each of the successful applicants and the focus will be on both short term and longer term product requirements.

The positions are predominantly laboratory based and candidates must be highly enthusiastic about practical laboratory testing and research. It is envisaged that the successful candidates will contribute with ideas to progress their projects and effectively organize their workload. A portion of time will also be spent writing up results and analysing data in order to determine next steps. You will work under the guidance of a line manager, and will be trained in all aspects of working in the laboratory using established test methods.

Requirements
