At Cummins Power Systems we recognise that having experience of the working world during your university degree provides a key insight to the practical application of your learning. We run an exciting 13 month placement where you are given an opportunity to work in a role and on real projects, making a difference in both your team and the company as a whole.
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Global Health, Safety, Environment and Security Manager within the Project Design and Implementation group, you will be an integral member of the Team and will support the build of numerous small power generation projects throughout the year. Performs routine functions related to a project site's environmental and safety requirements, Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) objectives and targets, and the overall Health, Safety and Environmental Management System (HSEMS). Routine functions may include the gathering and analysis of safety and environmental data, supporting project sites with scorecards and documentation to be produced to meet the Organisations’ legal obligations, develop and/ or improve tools to manage health, safety and environment matters at project sites, carrying out visual site inspections and audits, and other related duties, as directed by the Organisations’ HSE Manager.

Required Skills, Qualification and Experience:
To be eligible for our 13 Month work placement you must be a university student who has a placement year option as part of their degree programme. You will spend a year in a specific department to gain real experience in your subject area. You are supported by formal and informal training, and work on projects that add true value to the business.
