Description

Working as part of the Engine Business Human Resources team based in Darlington, supporting employees in assembly, technical, engineering and specialist support functions.

This role involves dealing directly with employees, supervisors and management on subjects such as company policy, recruitment, employee support, contracts, employment law, absence management, organisational development and general payroll issues. An opportunity to be involved in key project work for the department will also be provided.

Qualifications

  • A degree path with significant HR content.
  • Due to the direct employee contact we are looking for a student who has excellent communication skills, a professional attitude and preferably has experience working in an office environment.
  • Candidates should possess strong Microsoft Office skills and be able to work well on their own initiative.
  • Due to the nature of the work, the successful applicant will need to possess a high level of confidentiality.

Supervisory support and coaching from the HR Team.

Development of a personal work plan throughout the placement year.
