In this role, you have the opportunity to

influence cost management of Philips globally by doing critical analysis and driving initiatives within the cost productivity team.

You are responsible for

Under cost productivity, the Closed Loop Program is an enabler focusing on bringing down the indirect external cost for Philips. It follows a cycle around normative costing that will be use in the budget cycle. In this role you work with a central team to execute cost analysis on Philips spend globally to support granular insights that help being specific and accurate in target setting. You support the Closed Loop Program, which is closely monitored by our Executive Committee, by delivering meaningful, accurate analysis on procurement or commodity (e.g. IT, Marketing, HR) cluster spend.

Key areas of responsibilities for this role include:

  • Analysis of indirect spend for multiple markets
  • Identify savings opportunities
  • Project Management of productivity initiatives
  • Facilitate Workshops with key stakeholders

You are a part of

We will offer you a one-year contract within our Procurement organization. We created a Project Management Office (PMO) for this strategic project that, next to you, consists of 3 other junior business analysts under the supervision of a PMO lead. A financial reporting expert and a change lead are also part of the team.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master’s degree in Business Economics, Finance or Business Administration
  • Experience with data analysis gained during an internship is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Excel with knowledge of Pivots and preferably also macros
  • Ability to think analytically and draw conclusions from data
  • Ability to pro-actively reach out to stakeholders and ask the right questions which helps you to draw conclusions from the data
  • Ability to work independently plan and organization of work
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English, Dutch is a pre.

This role is located in Eindhoven, but travelling to Amsterdam to meet your stakeholders is required. We are looking for candidates that will be available on short notice.
